American producer and songwriter Dallas Austin collaborated with the group during the album's initial stages of development. "Push the Button" was inspired by a crush that Keisha Buchanan developed with another artist.ĭevelopment of "Push the Button" began while the Sugababes travelled to the United States to work on their fourth studio album, Taller in More Ways (2005). "Push the Button" appears on the soundtrack to It's a Boy Girl Thing (2006). The Sugababes performed the single at festivals and events such as Oxegen 2008 and the V Festival 2008. It features the Sugababes flirting with three men in a lift. Matthew Rolston directed the song's music video, which was filmed in Shepherd's Bush, London. It was nominated for Best British Single at the 2006 Brit Awards. The single peaked at number one in Austria, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, and reached the top five across Europe and in Australia. "Push the Button" became one of the group's most commercially successful releases. Some critics named it one of the best pop singles of the 2000s. The song received positive reviews from critics, who praised its conception and production. Musically, "Push the Button" is an electropop and R&B song with various computer effects. Composed by Dallas Austin and the Sugababes, it was inspired by an infatuation that group member Keisha Buchanan developed with another artist. " Push the Button" is a song by English girl group the Sugababes, released as the lead single from their fourth studio album Taller in More Ways (2005). Could be Five if their re-record all tracks with Amelle, and do a little better mixing here and there.Sugababes – Push The Button (Official Music Video) on YouTube But other than that it's a Four Star type of an album.

The inlay is also not too dissapointing, but not too excellent either.Īnd the one thing that I don't like about this album is track 7 called "It Ain't Easy". The cover has a white bacgrounds while the girls are standing with their black dress, and red font in front of them. The artwork of the album is average, but it's better than the 2005 release. The other album tracks which are sounds marvelous are "Ace Reject", "Bruised", and a cover version of "Obsession". And "Now You're Gone" is the only new track of the album. "Gotta be You" is another other re-recorded track, and it's quite cool too. Not forgetting to mention previously released single "Push the Button" and "Ugly" which are both respectfully appreciated. "Follow Me Home" is the second single with Amelle, and it's also a superb balad, with outstanding lyrics. "Red Dress" is the first single with Amelle, and it's a perfect catwalk song. They have quite similar voice character, although Amelle has rougher voice than Mutya, but that actually brings more color to the group. It's a wonder is because Amelle can catch up with Mutya. This is Sugababes' fourth album, but the first album with their new member Amelle Berabah, who is replacing Mutya.

Basically the content of this album is the same 12 tracks with the 2005 release, but the difference are they re-record track 2, 3, & 5, and add an extra track (track 13). I bought it because it isn't being release in my country. It's a super great album, really! It's my album of the year of 2006.
